AT ARCOLA CHRISTIAN CHURCH

The Arcola Christian Church is an independent Christian Church. Which means, we are self-governed making all decisions concerning our missions and ministry. Membership to the Arcola Christian Church requires a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We hold the belief that Baptism is by immersion. Transfer of membership is accepted also if both requirements are met. Spiritual oversight of the Arcola Christian church is exercised by the Pastor and Elders. While the ministry of service to the congregation is attended to by the Deacons. We observe the Lord's Supper every Sunday morning at the Arcola Christian Church, making Jesus Christ and His work of redemption on the cross the focal point of our fellowship and worship.

We believe the church is all inclusive of every true believer in Jesus Christ. We believe that God is a Triune God. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is “One” in essence, yet eternally existing in three persons. He is a sovereign God who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. We believe the Bible is the inspired (God breathed) word of God, written by men who were led by the Holy Spirit, and that it is eternally and infallibly true. We believe the Bible is the basis of authority on which the Christian thinks and acts. We believe salvation is based upon God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works or merit, and that repentance, confession, baptism, and obedience are a result of that saving faith. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His sacrificial death on the Cross for our sins and His bodily resurrection on the third day. This is our hope of eternal life. We believe he is coming again one day just as He said, to claim His bride, the church.
